Pro Tips for Ironing

Ironing is one of the more hands-on services you can offer. This guide covers everything you need to do it well: equipment, technique, what's out of scope, and how to protect yourself and your customers.

Orders with ironing can be accepted by Laundry Pros with a Silver badge or higher.

Before You Accept an Ironing Order

Ironing is fully optional. Accepting or skipping these orders has no impact on your standing.

If you’re never ironed anything before, we suggest you try it on a few of your items to practice before accepting an order with ironing from a customer.

Before accepting, you'll see the number of ironing items on the order contract. Please only accept if you have the right equipment and feel confident completing the service well within the deadline. If it's not a fit, simply pass.

How item counts work: One garment = one item. A dress shirt is 1 item, pants are 1 item, a suit jacket and pants are 2 items. At the end of the order, you'll input the actual number of items you ironed. Customers are only charged for what's completed. If you and a customer agree that a specific item is out of scope, simply leave it out of your final count.
